The PSOE considers that the € 322,524 destined to finish the folk museum are not a priority for Puerto Lumbreras in the current circumstances.

The Lumbrerenses socialists see totally out of place the contracting of the final works of the Virgen del Rosario Folk Museum, initiated by the mayor, Mar a ngeles T nez, and published in the contractor's profile in the month of December, for an amount of € 322,534, not including the rest of the opposition forces.

At the moment in which we find ourselves, where the little money available to the council is very necessary to help those who are experiencing the worst because of the pandemic, the Lumbrerenses socialists consider it inadmissible to spend money on everything that is not be it aid to those affected, maintenance of quality public services or truly productive investments.

According to the socialist spokesperson, Mar a Rosa Garc a: ??"There are much more necessary and productive investments in the moments in which we find ourselves.

It is curious that, of all the buildings that are unfinished (city hall, emergency base center, local police center of Esparragal, our old Parador) the mayor and her government team put their interest in the folklore museum.

Therefore, we are going to demand the support of the rest of the forces of the opposition, to block this unnecessary spending.

" According to the Socialists, in a municipality where aid to those affected by the pandemic has been derisory, where no investments have been made by the council aimed at improving the critical situation of our local commerce, where Job-generating activities are not promoted and, even more serious, where efforts are not made to approve a new General Plan, the perfect antidote to provide the municipality with an unprecedented economic boost, the Popular Party is remembers the folk museum.

For these reasons, Mar a Rosa Garc a demands the support of the rest of the opposition forces and recalls that "the Popular Party in the Puerto Lumbreras City Council does not have an absolute majority, so if this unnecessary expense continues ahead it will be for the support of the non-attached councilor elected by IU or the councilor of what was once VOX Puerto Lumbreras.

The PSOE is clear about it and is going to oppose it with all its might.
