At this meeting, information was also provided on the granting to the City Council of a grant from the General Directorate of Commerce of the Autonomous Community for the amount of 15.000 euros to continue encouraging purchases in local stores through different actions that include consumer prizes.
Likewise, it has been reported on the aid currently available and aimed at hospitality and catering companies, to bear the effects of the pandemic and the limitations imposed as a result of the serious health situation that crosses the whole country due to COVID-19.
The commission has had the participation of Roc�o Mart�nez, Councilor for Local Development and Economic Dynamization, representatives of the Official Chamber of Commerce of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, of the Association ½n of Aseplu Entrepreneurs, the municipality's hoteliers and various sectors such as food, commerce, public safety, gyms and decoration.
"From the City Council we continue to adopt measures to help the economic reactivation of the municipality and alleviate the effects of the health crisis caused by COVID-19 in the local business fabric.
Last year 2020 we carried out more of 50 actions between financial aid, attention and information to SMEs, self-employed workers and companies of Puerto Lumbreras or numerous campaigns of diffusion, promotion and dynamization to support our trade, our hospitality and our companies, among others.
We will always be by their side, with those who maintain our economy and our employment, and we will continue working so that no one is left behind in the face of the economic consequences of this pandemic.
