The Local Police of Puerto Lumbreras has arrested an individual who caused damage to two ATMs in the town. The events took place around 9:30 p.m.
last Sunday, when the agents were carrying out surveillance services for the population, they received a call warning that an individual was hitting the ATM of a bank with an iron bar. As the agents traveled to the site, they received another phone call advising that this same person was causing damage to the ATM of another bank. Once the patrol was at the scene, the agents were able to observe the damage caused and how the perpetrator had left the scene. Thanks to citizen collaboration, a delivery man from a nearby pizzeria who had witnessed the events, told the agents where the perpetrator of the damage had left, finding him on a street near the scene of the events. The latter, upon noticing the police presence, tried to attack them with the iron bar with which he had damaged the ATMs. The agents, after warning him several times to put the bar down and ignore it, managed to arrest him. Subsequently, he was transferred to police stations, where proceedings are instructed, for his arrest and made available to the judicial authority.
