The Ministry of Education and Universities has awarded the contract for the expansion of public school and Primary Education Juan Antonio Lopez Alcaraz of Puerto Lumbreras, which are funded by European funds Feder and represent an investment of 350,111 euros.

The Ministry, in line with the '+ Educational Quality + School Success' strategy will equip the center needed for a new line of primary education and thus meet the demands of the educational community classrooms.
Specifically, an additional floor on early childhood education module which will include seven classrooms for primary education, which will be connected to the main building via a walkway will be built.
Also, a core of stairs annex will be built module for evacuation in case of fire.
The final surface of the building will be 1,168 square meters.
The center has six years old and its structure planned for this new plant.
Most of the expansion is intended to primary classrooms, but will also have a meeting room for teachers, tutoring room, a warehouse and the corresponding toilets, including one for people with disabilities.
