Puerto Lumbreras The City Council has signed a collaboration agreement with the Association for the Promotion of Puerto Lumbreras Tennis with the aim of promoting the practice of this sport in the municipality.
Thus, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, and the president of the Association of Tennis, Ginés Pedrero, have been responsible for formalizing the agreement.
Thus, the Councillor for Sports, who was also present at the signing of the agreement, explained that "through this agreement, the City Council makes a contribution of 2,000 euros to finance activities that promote the sport."
Specifically, thanks to this agreement, the association will launch new activities and will teach tennis to different groups, mainly juveniles, children and youth.
In addition, the association new tennis championships will be organized by categories in the municipality.
In this sense, the president of the association, Ginés Pedrero, thanked the collaboration of the consistory "to continue to promote the School of Tennis and promote this sport in the municipality."
Association for the Promotion of Tennis
The association was established more than a decade and has nearly a hundred students, of which 50 of them are federated.
The Club has three national qualified instructors who also are international referees.
Classes Tennis School are held from Monday to Thursday in the afternoon.
It should be noted that the association has students in pre-baby, juvenile, infant, cadet, junior and senior categories.
Also, the young tennis player Alba Pedrero, who is among the 20 best in Spain in its category and No. 1 regional cadet, is part of this association.
