The Mayor and President of the Association of Alzheimer HAMLET have signed a collaboration agreement to promote activities in support of the sick.
The Association is committed to implementing an Action Plan 2016-2017, which includes the organization of conferences, seminars and awareness about the disease.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, and the president of the lumbrerense Association of Alzheimer (village), Modestina Diaz, have signed a collaboration agreement to promote activities in support of Alzheimer's patients in the municipality.
Specifically, through this agreement, the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras provides a subsidy of 10,200 euros to the lumbrerense Association of Alzheimer.
In this sense, the mayor of the town, Maria Angeles Tunisia, explained that "through collaboration with HAMLET, we want to promote measures that improve the quality of life of Alzheimer patients in our municipality."
Thus, the lumbrerense Association of Alzheimer (HAMLET) is committed to implementing an Action Plan 2016-2017, which includes the organization of conferences, seminars, roundtables and courses awareness about the disease.
Among the initiatives organized by the Association also include support groups and workshops for patients.
In addition, the Action Plan includes an advisory service in legal, sociological and economic to family matters, psychological and moral assistance and a program to facilitate and monitor attendance of Alzheimer's patients.
In this sense, Maria Angeles Tunisia added that "with the implementation of the Plan of Action HAMLET continue to improve the quality of life of patients through programs and preventive treatments intellectual and physical decline."
For his part, the president of HAMLET, Modestina Diaz, thanked the commitment and collaboration of the consistory and also explained that "the initiatives launched the Association include sessions and performances that detect and reduce possible tensions family or caregivers to the enormous dependence that causes the disease. "
Finally, it notes that, after signing the agreement, the Mayor has held a working meeting with the president of the Association ALDEA to plan the implementation of new projects.
HAMLET Association
Village Association is a non-profit organization established in November 2006 and made up of relatives of Alzheimer patients and professionals from various fields such as psychology, physiotherapy, social work and other disciplines involved in the care of Alzheimer's patient organization.
Its activity, financed by contributions and donations of more than 80 partners and by grants from public bodies arises through private initiatives to the needs raised by relatives of Alzheimer patients.
