Reina Sofía public park has been the venue for the launch of this new reading activity outdoors, which have enjoyed large and small.
Services of the Municipal Library of Puerto Lumbreras have come today to the park to encourage the habit of reading among children.
Specifically, this afternoon more than fifty children have participated in the activity "Biblioparque" with sizes of reading, storytelling and crafts.
In this sense, the public park Reina Sofia has been the venue for the launch of this new reading activity outdoors, which have enjoyed large and small.
Councillor for Culture, Maria Victoria Jerez, explained that "our aim is to encourage and promote reading in a fun way, approaching the municipal library services to all children in the municipality".
It should be noted that the City of Puerto Lumbreras plans to continue performing the activity of "reading outdoors" in other parks in the municipality.
In addition, this summer will launch a mobile service "bibliopiscina" to further promote the habit of reading.
With this service, citizens can access the repository of books without having to move from the municipal swimming pools.
Finally, it should be noted that this activity "Biblioparque" is part of the programming designed the City of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Culture, to celebrate the "Book Month".
