The Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism Development and Employment, through the Regional Employment Service and Training (SEF), subsidizes the City of Puerto Lumbreras with 267,000 euros to improve the employment of 28 people in the municipality through three employment programs and training.

The director of the SEF, Alejandro Zamora, and the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, today attended the opening of the action of the Joint Programme for employment and training, 'ancillary activities in nurseries, gardens and garden centers', which 15 youth national youth guarantee System will benefit.

Participants will receive training for nine months and perform professional practices, the term of which will receive a certificate of professionalism.

This program, which is funded by the European Social Fund, "qualifies and improving employment opportunities to obtain current professional experience."

In addition, "young people participate in works or services of public utility or social interest," said Zamora.

Participants in the program will receive guidance, counseling and professional information that will enable them both to search for paid employment and for setting their own.

Also, Alejandro Zamora had a meeting with the 11 workers hired to develop subsidized by the SEF program through local public employment projects.

It is the projects 'Lumbreras Active', 'Lumbreras Building Cleaning', 'Lumbreras Project' and 'Lumbreras E-Government'.

These projects, whose main objective is to encourage the recruitment of unemployed persons also include a personalized itinerary of insertion, in order to increase employment options and employability of people who develop it.

Finally, training for employment, the council will develop the training course 'Programming systems', funded by the SEF, primarily targeting the unemployed.

The director of the SEF said that the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras "is having a positive trend in employment, because in the past year have created more than 260 new jobs, representing an increase of 6 percent, higher than the regional growth ".
