The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Sports, has organized a year Child Swimming Trophy which was played this morning in the indoor Municipal Sports Center.
Specifically, 200 children aged between 5 and 15 years have participated in this tournament, with which terminates the season swimming in heated pools.
The participants competed in different groups organized by age and are mostly students swimming lessons that have developed during winter in the Municipal Sports Centre.
Moreover, the competition was attended by over 350 people to encourage and accompany participants.
The day culminated in the award of medals which was attended by the Councillor for Sports, Juan Francisco Carrillo and Councilman Youth, Andrés López Egea ..
Thus, Juan Francisco Carrillo, explained that "each year the number of participants in this championship and also swimming lessons that take place in the heated pools. It has doubled participation over previous editions and we see that consolidates the practice of this sport in the municipality. "
