The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, and the Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Thomas Violante, this morning signed a collaboration agreement for the maintenance of early care center of Puerto Lumbreras.
Specifically, through this agreement the regional government provides a subsidy of 89,146 euros for the provision of early care to 40 children and 57 children in treatment monitoring.
In addition, the City of Puerto Lumbreras provides 15,731 euros.
The mayor of the town, Maria Angeles Tunisia, stressed that "early intervention is critical to child development."
Thus, Tunisia added that "thanks to this grant we received from the regional government and the contribution made by the council can continue to pay attention to children who have developmental disorders and enhancing personal autonomy".
Stimulation in early intervention is for children with transient or permanent therapeutic needs arising from limitations, changes in development or showing symptoms of allergies.
The service provided at the center of early care municipality includes programs for prevention and diagnosis;
therapeutic intervention by sensory or motor, cognitive, motor, speech and auditory stimulation;
as well as socio-emotional or family environment performances.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Family told the media stressed that "the regional government currently allocates a total of 741,441 euros to the care of people with disabilities and elderly people in the municipality."

The Minister, accompanied by the mayor, wanted to see first hand the staff, users and monitor the operation of the facilities.
To end the visit, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras and the Minister of Family have held a working meeting in the House of Trolls to address the implementation of new services and improve existing ones in social policy.
