The municipality of Puerto Lumbreras this weekend hosted a poetry reading in the House of Cura, which was attended by eight lumbrerenses poets.
It is a cultural initiative organized by the "Backdraft," which is part of the program of activities "Cultural Nogalte", designed by the Department of Culture and Tourism for the summer months Cultural Association.
This year has paid a posthumous tribute to lumbrerense poet Jose Martinez Olivares, who went to Argentina in the twenties of the last century.
The writer never forgot his roots, as well demonstrated throughout his work throughout which makes continuous references to Puerto Lumbreras, Murcia and Spain.
Thus, the already traditional recital has enjoyed the participation of prominent lumbrerenses poets like Marcos Salvador Romera, Marcos Gª Tunisia, Maria Concepcion Perez de Carrion, Maria Urrea, Anabel Ponce, Ana Martinez, president of the Association "Backdraft" Carmen Martinez Mateos, and the young poet Hellin Maria del Mar, who recited a verse poet lumbrerense selection.
This meeting has already become one of the cultural traditions of summers in the town of Puerto Lumbreras that has been developing since 2004, and each year a greater number of fans add to the poetry
