The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Culture and Tourism has launched the service "bibliopiscina" during the months of July and August in sports facilities where municipal summer swimming pools are located.
This morning, the Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Maria Victoria Jerez, visited the summer pools and has been shown the "great reception given to this service among users."
Specifically, it is a free loan of books that allows you to enjoy reading to people who access the Municipal Pool Puerto Lumbreras.
In order to access this service you must present membership card of the Municipal Library.
The books may be withdrawn at the pool every day from 12.00h to 20.00h and duration of the loan may be to stay that day by the pool, or return within 15 days in the same collection point
Cultural Councillor said that "we want this service provide experience of reading promotion, while we share the book catalog of the Municipal Libraries Network".
The initiative aims to expand the service to places where potential readers, experimenting with new ways of promoting reading in different areas of the usual and disseminating funds and services of the Municipal Library.
Finally, note that to be a member of the Network of Libraries need to fill an application at the Library and present the original ID.
All children under 14 years who wish to become members must be accompanied by father or mother.
