The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, and the representative of the ria-Pitá association, Mª Carmen Martinez, have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting the culture of flamenco dancing in town.
Thus, the lumbrerense Consistory attaches to the partnership a grant of 4,000 euros and undertakes to render assistance in organizing some of the activities of the association as the annual festival of children's flamenco and the performances in the festival of La station-Esparragal.
Councillor for Culture, Maria Victoria Jerez stressed that "the City Council are very committed to the promotion of cultural activity carried out from this partnership for the benefit of all citizens lovers of flamenco".
Furthermore, Jerez added that "RIA Pitá is composed of a large group of professionals who participate in the celebrations marked our town".
Dance Association ria Pitá
Pitá estuary is one of the groups that most promotes cultural values ​​and traditions of the town.
