On September 21 breakfast with clear reading and releasing balloons in the park will be held Augusto Vels.

The Association of Alzheimer (village), in collaboration with the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has organized a program of activities to coincide with World Alzheimer's Day, to be held on 21 September.

The program started yesterday, Friday, September 16, with a cuestación in different parts of the city to collect donations and inform the public of the services available to fight this disease.

The activity program continues tomorrow, Sunday 18 September at 18.00 with a beneficial encounter gangs and regional dances at the Cultural Center.

Tickets for the event cost 5 euros and revenue will be used to improve the services provided by the Association HAMLET sufferers of Alzheimer Puerto Lumbreras.

Thus, the charity event will feature performances by the Esparragal Gang, Gang Children of Naples, the Gang of Pulpí and Ballet Maria Teresa Lazareno.

The councilman of Health, Andres Lopez, said that "the City Council will continue to collaborate with the Association HAMLET so that they can further develop the important social work carried out with Alzheimer's patients and their families."

For its part, the president of the Association, Modestina Diaz, has encouraged lumbrerenses "scheduled to participate in these activities that will continue to inform the society and improving the quality of life of Alzheimer patients of Puerto Lumbreras".

The activity program ends on Wednesday 21 September with a breakfast get-together at 10.30 am.

This activity will take place in the Augusto Vels park and is done so that different professionals and members of the village association to inform participants about different issues related to the disease and the importance of early diagnosis.

The day will end at 12.00 with the reading of a manifesto and balloon release, to coincide with World Alzheimer's Day.
