More than 40 artists from the region of Murcia, bordering provinces and other parts of the Spanish geography had an appointment this weekend in Puerto Lumbreras to participate in the contest.
This year, as new, it has increased the funding for the first prize and four second prizes have been awarded.
The artist Manuel Sanchez Lucas has won the first prize of painting "Rincones de Puerto Lumbreras" which was held Sunday in the city on the occasion of the festivity.
This year we celebrated the XXI edition of paint and involved more than 40 artists from the region of Murcia, bordering provinces and other parts of the Spanish geography.
From 08.00 in the morning began the contest outdoor painting organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the "Jose Lopez Serres" Cultural Association.
Thus, throughout the day the painters were installed at different points of the town to capture in his paintings the most representative images of Puerto Lumbreras.
At 21.00 hours the work on the Socio-Cultural Center House Elves they were presented and the awards ceremony was held.
The first prize went to Manuel Sanchez, worth 1,500 euros, while the second prize went to Pascual Gimeno Montacar and was valued at 750 euros (150 euros and 650 euros PLANTIAGRO City Hall).
The third prize was 550 euros (Orbitalia) and Jaime Jurado gave Gordon.
On the other hand, the local award, given to the work with the highest score being the resident artist in Puerto Lumbreras, Javier Parra was for 400 euros.
New this year has increased the funding for the first prize.
They have also been awarded four second prizes: Second prize stud Peña de Bejar Nicolas Navarro (400 euros), second prize Flow Extruline Systems for Alfredo Lopez (400 euros), accésit Puerto Export to Ana Sanchez (300 euros), Second Prize Foundation Alimer for Jose Antonio French (300 euros).
