The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras held today at 11.00 an act of homage to the flag of Spain, on the occasion of Columbus Day in the gardens of Paco Rabal.

The mayor of the town, Maria Angeles Tunisia, next to the Municipal Corporation, presided over this act of hoisting of the flag.

The event was also attended by local authorities, local police officers, the body of the Civil Guard and many residents of Puerto Lumbreras.

At 1200 hours it has officiated the Mass of the Civil Guard in honor of their patron saint, the Virgen del Pilar, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church.
