The municipality of Puerto Lumbreras hosted during yesterday afternoon XXIII Milla Urban VIII Carrera Popular de Puerto Lumbreras.
The sporting event, organized by the Sports Association and the Esparragal Nogalte Athletics Club, was attended by more than 180 athletes.
The test began and ended in Avenida Pedro Garcia Rubio and featured different categories including prebenjamines was, Benjamins, juveniles, children, cadets, youth, junior, promises, senior and veterans.
At 18.00 began the first race with bedrolls, born in 2011 and later.
Thus, every 15 minutes a new race began, being different distances they had to travel athletes, according to the category belonging.
The last race was held at 19:45 hours and included the categories of youth, junior, and senior male promises.
Participants in this eighth and final race had to travel a distance of 1.609m.
Then at 20:00 the awards ceremony was held.
Thus, trophies were awarded to the top three finishers in each category and medals were distributed to those born in 2011 to the juvenile category.
Finally, note that this test has had the collaboration of the Department of Sports City of Puerto Lumbreras, Murcia and Caja BMN Group Home Puerto Lumbreras.
