The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras will request the preparation of two rural roads of the municipality in the next plenary, to be held on 29 November.
Specifically, we will ask for the settlement of the Los Guevaras road and the Higueral Alto road to the general direction of Rural and Forestry Development, under the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment of the Region of Murcia.
In this sense, the Councilor for Agriculture, Livestock, Water and Pedanias, José María Parra, has stated that "we have developed a catalog of rural roads, from which a detailed study of the needs and deficiencies of each road, To be able to work orderly in the arrangement and maintenance of our roads ".
Similarly, Parra stressed that "we have made important budgetary efforts, in collaboration with the Autonomous Community, to expand and improve the municipal road network."
It should be noted that, in recent years, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras and the Autonomous Community have worked together in arranging more than 100 kilometers of roads.
Thus, important works of asphalting, signaling, cleaning of accounts, evacuation of rainwater and public lighting have been carried out, among others.
Finally, the councilman pointed out that "the agriculture and livestock sector is the main economic engine of Puerto Lumbreras.
