Nuria Navajas has been in charge of reading an emotional Christmas proclamation in the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary in Puerto Lumbreras.
The event, which began at 7.30 pm, was attended by more than 200 people, including numerous authorities from the Region of Murcia and the president of the Community, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.
The preacher did a review of the Christmas traditions by thrilling the audience with her words.
During the reading of the proclamation, Nuria Navajas emphasized the role of the woman as a proclamation of Christmas and pointed out that "Christmas has the soul of woman and mother. For me, Christmas has a woman's face."
Navajas also thanked the opportunity that has been given to him to proclaim Christmas, according to her "one of the most beautiful times of the year".
In addition, he highlighted the affection he has towards Puerto Lumbreras and noted that his Christmas is divided between Puerto Lumbreras and Antequera.
During the proclamation, Nuria read some verses of a carol of José Manuel Soto.
The pregonera ended the intervention with her two daughters, Rocío and Cristina, expressing their best wishes for next year and congratulating the Christmas to all the attendees.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, stressed that "the proclamation has been written from the heart and is loaded with feelings. Nuria represents excellently the values ​​proper to these Christmas dates such as love, fraternity or friendship" .
This proclamation marks the beginning of the Christmas program organized by the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras on the occasion of the arrival of Christmas.
At the end of the proclamation, the Bethlehem Municipal was inaugurated, located this year in the Plaza de la Iglesia.
The proclamation and the inauguration counted on the performance of Choruses and Dances Virgen del Rosario.
