Craft market, candy contest, Christmas parties, parades, children's entertainment and poetry recital are some of the activities offered by the program.
As a novelty, this year will be the Christmas autochine, the first Book Fair, children's race of San Silvestre and Carols Recital.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has designed a special program to celebrate Christmas in the municipality with more than thirty activities to be developed over the coming weeks.
Specifically, the programming of activities began last night with an emotional proclamation by Nuria Navajas Rodríguez in the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Church.
Next, the Municipal Belén was inaugurated with the performance of the group Coros y Danzas "Virgen del Rosario".
As a novelty, today at 21.00 hours will perform the first Recital of Villancicos organized by Choruses and Dances Virgen del Rosario, in collaboration with the Department of Culture, in the Cultural Center.
On the other hand, on Sunday, December 18, a rhythmic gymnastics exhibition will be held at 11:00 am at the Municipal Sports Center.
At 12:00 pm Santa Claus will walk the streets of La Estación-Esparragal with the ride of the illusion.
On December 19 and 20, the Royal Mailman will visit the schoolchildren of the municipality to collect the letters of all the children.
The program continues on December 21 at 7:00 pm with the competitions "Puerto Lumbreras de dulce" and "El Esparragal de dulce" at the House of the Goblins and at the Municipal Offices of La Estación-Esparragal respectively.
At 20.00 hours the tree of desires will be inaugurated in the House of the Goblins.
Citizens will be able to collaborate in the decoration of this tree by writing their congratulations and hanging their Christmas decorations.
A local handicraft market is also planned on December 21, 22 and 23 on the Avenida Murciana avenue from 10 am to 10 pm.
Another of the novelties of this year is the Book Fair to be held on December 21, 22 and 23 on the Avenida Murciana avenue from 10.00 to 21.00 hours.
The fair will feature local authors' signature and activities for children every day from 17.00 to 18.00 hours.
On December 22nd, at 4.30 pm, the children's playground "Navilandia" will open with activities for the little ones in the courtyard of the Cultural Center.
In addition, the Library Network will host an animation workshop for reading and awarding of the "Once upon Christmas" Illustrated Storytelling Contest.
On December 23, the Cavalcade of Illusion in Puerto Lumbreras will be celebrated with parades to celebrate the arrival of Santa Claus to the municipality, accompanied by Disney characters and with the academy Mª Teresa Lazareno and the Municipal Band of Music.
In parallel, on December 23 the shops of the municipality will celebrate the "Christmas Day at Christmas" with shopping night.
Local shops will offer discounts and will remain open until 10 pm.
On Saturday December 24 the Navilandia children's playground will be installed again in the courtyard of the Cultural Center from 10.00 to 13.30 hours.
At night, at 24.00 hours will be celebrated the traditional Mass of the Rooster, sung by the group Coros y Dances Virgen del Rosario in the Church.
Likewise, on December 25th at 12 noon Christmas Mass will be celebrated.
The program also includes the presentation of the book "José Toral Velázquez" written by the official chronicler of Puerto Lumbreras, Juan Romera.
The event will be on December 27 at 20.30 in the hall of the Cultural Center.
On Wednesday, December 28th at 9:00 p.m., the movie "Buscando a Dori" will be screened at the Christmas car park, installed in the parking lot of the Municipal Sports Center.
There will also be a Christmas autochine on January 4 with the screening of the movie "Mascotas".
On the other hand, on December 29, the Municipal Band of Music will offer a Christmas concert in the hall of the Cultural Center at 8.30 pm.
Likewise, a recital of poetry will be celebrated with the intervention of local poets on December 30th at 8:30 pm in the House of the Goblins.
On the last day of the year, December 31, children's bells will be celebrated at noon and children will change the traditional grapes for gluten-free treats.
In parallel, there will be a new edition of the San Silvestre race for children and adults.
At 11:00 hours will be the departure of children and at 12.00 hours adults will leave.
The children's chimes and the San Silvestre will be held on San Francisco Street, next to the Church.
The amount of money collected in the inscriptions will go to Cáritas.
That same day at 19.00 hours is also planned a guided tour of the Cabezo de la Jara Astronomical Observatory with members of the astronomical grouping of the Region of Murcia.
The year will begin with New Year's Mass at 12 noon in the Parish Church.
On the 4th and 5th of January children will enjoy the Navilandia children's playground at the Cultural Center.
In addition, on January 5, starting at 5:00 p.m., the Three Wise Men's Cabalgata will be celebrated with the collaboration of the Riá Pitá dance academy and the Municipal Music Band.
Finally, the Christmas program also includes a Route of Belenes, among which is the Municipal Belén, Belén Medina Nogalte in the House Workshop of the Craftsman, Belén Municipal Library, Birth Day Center for the Elderly, Birth Center for Women And Bethlehem of the Parish Ntra. Sra. Del Rosario.
