The government team of the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras and unions with municipal representation have reached an agreement that has allowed the signing of a new collective agreement on the conditions of workers in the Lumbrerian consistory.
The new document, which contains the obligations and general rights of workers of the City of Puerto Lumbreras, has been unanimously approved by all trade union delegates of UGT and CCOO.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, explained that "the signing of this agreement reflects a good capacity for dialogue and negotiation, in which we have given priority to the public interest of citizens."
Thus, Tunisia recalled that "since 1993 a total agreement had not been reached on the working conditions of the workers, only some specific changes had been achieved".
The Mayor has assured that "the agreement guarantees job stability to the staff and at the same time allows the staff to provide better services and quality to lumbrerenses. With the signing of this agreement, we have reached a point of agreement that Guarantees the rights of workers and benefits all citizens. "
Likewise, Mª Ángeles Tunisia has indicated that "the Social Action has been increased for all workers in this new collective agreement that replaces the previous one, written more than 20 years ago."
Finally, the Mayoress, who thanked the trade union representatives for their efforts to obtain the signature, stressed the exercise of responsibility of all parties and stressed that this is an agreement in force until 31 December 2019.
