Assistance has been granted for more than € 11,000 for the rental of housing in 2016 in Puerto Lumbreras through the Housing Plan 2013-2016.

This plan, which is dependent on the Directorate General for Spatial Planning, Architecture and Housing of the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure, has benefited ten families of Puerto Lumbreras in the last year.

The beneficiaries have received a subsidy for the rental of housing within the State Plan for the promotion of housing rental, building rehabilitation and regeneration and urban renewal in the period 2013-2016.

The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, explained that "these social assistance are intended to meet the basic needs of citizens and to finance access and stay in a rental housing for people with limited economic resources."
