The director of the Institute for Youth, Veronica Lopez, accompanied by the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, today visited students participating in the Summer School of the municipality.
In total there are 50 children between 5 and 12 years, during the month of July made educational, entertainment and leisure.
The Summer School aims to provide a leisure summer through activities and programs with educational content and games, which promote the values of coexistence and encourage teamwork and promote creativity and student participation.
In total, more than two dozen organized activities such as workshops on environmental education, artistic expression, sports games, theater, dance as well as marches and excursions to cultural attractions in the Region of Murcia.
The initiative has a team of five monitors leisure, two monitors specialized in education of children, and a coordinator to oversee the activities of students during the entire month of July.
Also this year the municipality has set up a bus line that runs through the town and the hamlets to avoid commuting from the family and thus promote the reconciliation of work and family life.
