The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Employment, has launched a program of "personalized routes to employment" to improve the social and work skills of students of the IES Rambla de Nogalte.
The Councilor for Employment, Angela Morillas explained that "we have directed this initiative to the 4th grade students and vocational training, as many of them will enter the labor market very soon. These young people from the tools needed to tackle the job search in an effective and effective manner. "
In this sense, more than 160 students will benefit from this program created by the technical staff of the Center for Innovation, Training and Employment, dependent on the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras.
This initiative includes theoretical-practical workshops with the aim of facilitating and promoting the development of personal, social and labor skills, placing young people in a favorable position in the access and maintenance of a job.
Also, the sessions are held with small groups every Friday from 08:15 to 14:30 hours, until next March 17.
In these workshops students develop skills to effectively employ various skills and gain better preparation for task performance.
In the same way, they improve strategic communication and increase their motivation.
Lastly, the Councilor for Employment has stated that "these workshops will also help students to develop better in everyday situations in the personal and school environment, as well as improving social relationships with family and friends."
