Puerto Lumbreras to celebrate International Women's Day with more than 40 activities
The City Council organizes free activities throughout March for Women's Day.
Exhibitions, training courses, sports activities, travel, living together and a campaign of commerce are some of the initiatives included in the program.
The celebration of International Women's Day will begin this Saturday in Puerto Lumbreras with a meeting of women in the natural spot Cabezo de la Jara.
This was announced by the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, in the presentation of the program of activities organized by the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras in collaboration with associations of the municipality.
In this regard, Tunisia stressed that "we have prepared an extensive program throughout the month of March with almost forty leisure activities, health and training aimed especially at women."
In the presentation of the month of the woman has also been present coach Juan Cayuela, who has offered a motivational talk to the attendees.
The program includes a collective exhibition under the name "women's works" at the Women's Center.
In this exhibition the students participate in the monthly workshops of the Center for Women with different works of embroidery, painting and patchwork.
The exhibition will be open to the public from Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 14.00 hours.
Continuing with cultural programming, next Friday, March 3, the painting exhibition of Mª Elena del Olmo will be inaugurated at the House of the Goblins.
Visiting hours are from Monday to Friday from 11 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm.
In addition, it can also be visited on Saturdays from 10.00 to 14.00 hours.
One of the most important activities of the program, in which the participation of 200 women is foreseen, is the traditional meeting in the Hostel of Cabezo de la Jara.
The event will be on March 4 and will feature a show of humor, hiking trails, dance classes and a laughter therapy workshop, among other activities.
Those wishing to attend the event must register at the Women's Center.
The program continues on Monday March 6 with a workshop on foot reflexology at 10:00 am in the Women's Center.
In this activity the attendees will discover what is the foot reflexology and will be a practice-demonstration of this manual massage technique. That same day, at 7 pm will be a talk on cyberbullying, Internet risks and social networks in young people .
On Thursday, March 9, a pilates master class will be held at 6:00 pm at the Women's Center and on Friday, March 10, a tribute will be given to the women entrepreneurs of the municipality at Hotel Riscal.
For the first time will be held the meeting "an entrepreneurial cane for equality" in the municipality.
It is an informal meeting of entrepreneurs to know the trajectory of a business woman of the municipality and the possibility of participating in a networking.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday 15 March from 12.00 to 14.00 hours in the Cave of the Sultana (Castle of Nogalte).
On the other hand, on Wednesday, March 22, a batuka master class will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Women's Center, and on Friday, March 24, an emotional health talk will be given to "start again" at 8:00 p.m. The Center for Women.
The program continues with a women's meeting at Nogalte Castle, which will include guided tours of Casas Cueva, kundalini yoga class, Korean-hapkido personal defense master class and zumba master class.
In addition, there will be play area and children's area for children.
On Tuesday, March 28th at 5:00 p.m., a taichi workshop will be held at the Women's Center.
The programming will continue also during the month of April and May.
Thus, on Friday, April 28, a master class of spinning will take place at La Esparragal Station at 19.30.
On May 11 will be a talk about care of the elderly at the address in the Municipal Offices of La Estación-Esparragal.
On the other hand, a paper flower workshop will be held at the Hogar de la Edad Aged Vicente Ruiz Llamas on May 18 at 4:30 p.m., and a cross fit circuit will be held at Reina Sofía Park on May 26 to 8:00 p.m.
Finally, a micromusical will take place in the House of the Goblins on May 27 at 9 pm.
The program also has training courses such as young entrepreneurship strategies through coaching, local tourism promotion management course and visitor information, socio-sanitary care course for people in the home, negotiation techniques and customer service, among others.
The program closes with a varied offer of trips to the Costa del Sol, Nerja, Castril, Baza, Caravaca Jubilar, Bullas, Festivities of San Isidro in Yecla, San José (Almería), Benidorm, Huelva, among others.
The program of activities is organized by the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras in collaboration with the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Regional Network of Local Employment Centers for Women, Civil Guard, Network of Specialized Care Centers for Victims of Gender Violence , Association of Women Amigas Without Borders, Women's Association of the Women's Center of Puerto Lumbreras, Association of Women Entrepreneurs Amel, Caser Residencial, Space Fitness, Confederation of Entrepreneurs Aseplu, Spanish Association Against Cancer, Voades, Association of Alzheimer's Disease Aldea and Motiva.
Campaign to promote trade 'March in Women'
As part of the Women's Month program, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the Confederation of Employers ASEPLU, the Association of Women Entrepreneurs AMEL and the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, will launch throughout the month of March 'March in Women' trade campaign, which offers discounts and promotions.
The campaign involves more than 100 shops in different sectors such as stationery, jewelry, decoration, food, fashion, florist, hairdressers, optics, aesthetics, among others.
Participating establishments offer discounts of up to 30% and special promotions of 2x1 on selected products.
