The Association of Alzheimer's Patients of Puerto Lumbreras (ALDEA), in collaboration with the city council of the town, has celebrated one more year its charity gala with which funds are raised for the improvement of the services provided by the lumbrerense association to The Alzheimer's patients in the municipality.
The event, which was held today in the restaurant Guirrete of the lumbrerense hamlet of La Estación-Esparragal, has had the assistance of more than 170 people.
It is an event that year after year is consecrated as one of the charitable meetings with greater affluence in Puerto Lumbreras.
In addition, the event has had fashion shows and different musical performances.
Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, said that "the City Council will continue to collaborate with the ALDEA Association, as it has done so far, to increase services to all patients with Alzheimer's disease in the municipality."
Likewise, the president of the Association, Modestina Diaz, thanked all the attendees for their collaboration and donations that year after year "helps to continue improving the quality of life of the patient in the municipality."
Finally, it should be noted that the Aldea association is a non-profit organization formed in November 2006 and made up of relatives of Alzheimer's patients and professionals from various fields such as psychology, physiotherapy, social work and other disciplines involved in the care of Alzheimer's disease, which arise through private initiatives, in response to the needs raised by relatives of Alzheimer's patients.
