The Council of Equality of the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras and the AMPA of the IES Rambla de Nogalte have organized a talk on "cyberbullying" in the hall of the Women's Center of Puerto Lumbreras.
The objective of this initiative has been to provide guidelines and practical advice so that young people can make good use of new technologies.
Thus, parents and teachers have been informed of the importance of children adopting security measures to surf the Internet and use social networks.
The specialized staff of the Guardia Civil who gave the talk has placed special emphasis on the idea of ​​raising children's awareness to immediately communicate any threats they may receive through social networks.
The Councilor for Equality, Sonia López, stressed that "the main objective of this talk is to provide a clear vision of the risks of the Internet for children and adolescents, as well as identify preventive measures for a safer online life" .
