A day has had a Romería by the Rambla de Vilerda, a Mass in the Chapel of the Virgin of Carmen in the place of La Tercia, and a day of coexistence with paella, musical performances and traditional games.
Puerto Lumbreras has celebrated today a Romería in honor to the Virgin of the Carmen, to benefit of the Association Lumbrerense of Alzheimer's Disease (ALDEA).
The day began with a joint chocolate at 10.30 am for the benefit of the association ALDEA, and at 11.00 am has been carried out in pilgrimage from the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary to the Chapel of the Virgin of the Carmen, located in the place Of the Third.
The attendees have made a journey of approximately 8 kilometers, passing through the rambla of Vilerda.
At 13.00 hours the Holy Mass was celebrated in honor of the Virgin of Carmen, Patron of the Cabeza de la Jara, which has had the participation of the folk group Coros y Danzas Virgen del Rosario.
Subsequently, a paella solidarity has been made in the Hermitage of Vilerda, and popular games for the little ones.
The Chapel of the Virgin of the Carmen is located in the place of the Tercia in the Rambla de Vilerda, and was constructed in the year 1945.
In conclusion, the Councilor of Festejos thanked the participation, involvement and collaboration of the lumbrerenes in this pilgrimage with solidarity purposes to improve the conditions of the Alzheimer's patients in the municipality.
