Sports director Alonso Gómez has visited all the sports facilities in Puerto Lumbreras, accompanied by the mayor of the municipality, Mª Ángeles Tunis, and the Councilor for Sports, Juan Rubén Burrueco.
The purpose of the visit was to know the state of sports infrastructure, as a step prior to the call for aid that will soon be published by the Ministry of Culture and Portavocía, for the repair and improvement of sports facilities.
The visit has begun in the Municipal Sports Center, which has an area of ​​more than 4,000 square meters.
In its facilities it emphasizes a heated swimming pool with a length of 25 meters.
Next to it is located a glass of splash for the learning of children, adults and people with disabilities.
The facilities also have a deposit for the recovery and reuse of the renewed water and its use for agricultural use.
The Sports Center also has an indoor paddle tennis court, a gymnasium, a cafeteria and a playground that allows the distribution of three basketball courts, three volleyball courts, one handball and one indoor football.
Then they visited the Municipal Sports Center and the Football Field.
The visit has ended in the Multipurpose Rural Pavilion of La Estación-Esparragal, after visiting the sports hall of Calle San Javier.
On the other hand, the visit has served to address the implementation of new projects, check the good condition, use and operation of most of the facilities of the municipality.
The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras has stressed that "Puerto Lumbreras has a large number of sports enthusiasts in almost all disciplines. We want Puerto Lumbreras to continue to host major sporting events and offer citizens the possibility of practicing Great variety of sports activities and in the best conditions ".
Finally, Tunisia thanked the Director General of Sports for his visit and stressed that "we will work in collaboration with the Regional Government for the implementation of new services in the field of sports and the improvement of all our infrastructures."
