Puerto Lumbreras will host the XV Solidarity Meeting of Bands of Drums and Horns next Sunday, April 2, which will meet around 250 musicians from the Region of Murcia and Almeria.
From 11.00 hours will begin the Pasacalles from the Avenida Pedro García Rubio and at 11.30 will offer a concert in the square Juan Pablo II, next to the Parish Church.
In this meeting of bands of Holy Week will participate the Musical Group Our Father Jesus of the Prendimiento (Eagles), San Miguel Arcángel (Pulpí), Our Father Jesus Nazareno (Puerto Lumbreras), and Stmo Cristo de la Fe (Puerto Lumbreras).
It should be noted that for the second consecutive year, the Band Meeting has a solidarity character.
Therefore, a stand will be installed for the collection of food for the benefit of Caritas during the concert.
This event is organized by the Colegio del Stmo Cristo de la Fe and Maria Stma de la Piedad, in collaboration with the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, and marks the beginning of Holy Week in the municipality.
The Councilor for Culture, Mª Victoria Jerez, has invited all the citizens to come to the municipality to enjoy this musical event that each year acquires greater relevance and that arouses the interest of children and adults.
In addition, he said that "this year the meeting of bands will be very special, as it celebrates its 15th anniversary."
