The lumbrerense hamlet of La Estación-El Esparragal has hosted the XIV edition of the Pilgrimage in Honor of the Virgin of the Roe, in which more than 500 people participated to pay homage to the Virgin.
Early in the morning the day began with a Rociera Mass in the Hermitage of the Immaculate Conception, which was attended by many members of the Government team.
Then the Virgin of the Rocio was taken in a pilgrimage that crossed the main streets and rural roads of El Esparragal, where the rocieros showed their devotion to the Virgin.
In the middle of the morning they made a "para rociera" next to the weekly market of Sundays.
At 14.00 hours the Rociera Mediodia Fair was started next to the Ermita, which had the musical performance of the group "Voices of the Marshes".
The Councilor of Festivities, Juan Rubén Burrueco, stressed that "the rocieros faithful to the Virgin have had a magnificent opportunity to venerate the Virgin of Rocío in Puerto Lumbreras and share a day of coexistence enlivened with musical performances."
Finally, it should be noted that this fun and religious event is organized by the Candela Rociera Association, in collaboration with the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras
