The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Pedanias, has begun a campaign to clean the rural roads of the municipality.
Specifically, the Municipal Plan Clearing and Clearing of rural roads affects almost 40 roads and implies the adequacy and improvement of approximately 90 kilometers.
Area councilor José María Parra explained that "with this Plan we improve the road safety of rural roads by increasing visibility and eliminating existing obstacles in the circulation."
Similarly, Parra added that "we launch this action because we are aware of the need to carry out a periodic maintenance in these busy roads, especially by farmers and ranchers."
A local company is in charge of carrying out these works of clearing the grasses on the sides of the roads and their maintenance.
It should be noted that these actions have already been carried out in some roads such as Los Perez, Casas Las Palmeras, Camino Viejo, Camino del Armao, Vera, Los Soles, among others.
José María Parra stressed that "the aim of the various actions is to improve the lives of people who use these roads, promote safety, improve the image of the municipality and facilitate the development of business activities in the area ".
Lastly, Parra announced that "we will continue to improve the state of all roads in the municipality on a regular basis, prioritizing those with the highest daily traffic flow."
