The best silvestristas of the Region of Murcia moved to Puerto Lumbreras this weekend.
More than 200 birds from different localities participated in the Autonomous Silvestrism Contest that took place in the categories of Cilantro of Jilguero, Mixed Jilguero, Jilguero Campero, Pardillo and Mixed of Pardillo.
The regional competition was held at the Municipal Sports Center and was organized by the Silvestrism Sports Association of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City of Puerto Lumbreras.
Thus, in category Canto de Jilguero the first place went to Juan Manuel Muñoz of Puerto Lumbreras, the second place occupied by Pedro Araez de Molina de Segura and the third place went to Rafael de la Osa de Lorca.
In Mixed Jilguero, the winner was Juan José Moreno from Puerto Lumbreras, second place went to Manuel Sanchez de Cartagena and the third prize was taken by Mario Aguilera from Puerto Lumbreras.
As for the Jilguero Campero modality, the first place finisher was Juan Perez from Puerto Lumbreras, second place went to Daniel Soto de Águilas and third place to José Luis Bernal from Murcia.
In the Pardillo modality, only one participant, José García de Lorca, was classified.
Finally, in Mixto de Pardillo, Francisco Albarracín de Aguilas was in first position, Manuel Carrasco de San Javier took second place and Manuel Sánchez was in third place.
