The Municipal Soccer Field hosted the closing ceremony of the School Sports Games in the 2016/2017 season, organized by the Department of Sports of the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras.
Specifically, about 300 schoolchildren from the four public schools in the municipality have participated in the categories juvenile and young, male and female.
In this way, the disciplines that have been carried out during the school year in these sports games have been football, soccer 7, basketball and volleyball.
In addition, the awards ceremony of Cross School was also held, which involved more than 300 children.
Thus, a trophy was awarded to the top three finishers and a medal up to the 10th place for each category.
The Councilor for Sports, Juan Rubén Burrueco, participated in the awards ceremony.
Burrueco stressed the high participation of schoolchildren in this new edition and encouraged the children "to continue practicing and enjoying the sport, both in schools and outside them.
