Coinciding with Puerto Lumbreras Independence Day, to be held on July 7, the city council is organizing the traditional institutional act in which distinctions will be granted.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras will receive the "Silver Medal" of the City, which will be granted by the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, proposed by the mayor, Mª Ángeles Tunisia.

Coinciding with Puerto Lumbreras Independence Day, to be held on July 7, the city council is organizing the traditional institutional act in which distinctions will be granted to lumbrerenses and institutions in recognition of their dedication, work and commitment to the municipality .

In this sense, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, explained that "in its almost 120 years of activity, the Official Chamber of Commerce of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras has been characterized by dynamism to the business life of the two municipalities, actively participating in decisions Relevant in the region in the interest of all its partners. "

For this reason, it has been agreed to initiate, through the emergency procedure, the administrative file to award the Silver Medal to the Chamber of Commerce, according to the City Council's Honors and Distinctions Regulation.

The Mayor has emphasized that "under the presidency of Eusebio Abellán and Francisco Gómez when the Chamber of Commerce begins to work more energetically by the almost 1,700 lumbrerenses entrepreneurs with the realization of different campaigns, courses, contests and other activities" .

In addition, he added that "without a doubt the Chamber of Commerce plays a fundamental role in the day to day of the entrepreneurs, knowing to adapt to the new needs of the entrepreneurs".

Of note since 2011, Puerto Lumbreras has its own headquarters of the Official Chamber of Commerce to offer better services of training and advice to entrepreneurs of the municipality and thus boost the business fabric in the locality.
