Students who are interested in applying for the textbooks for the new course must do so by June 28.
The Rambla de Nogalte Institute, in collaboration with the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, has launched a campaign to collect used textbooks in good condition, in order to reuse them and encourage savings in school spending.
Students can donate the used books and for each of them they will get a bonus to enter free of charge to municipal summer pools.
You can collaborate using textbooks used for ESO, FP, Baccalaureate and Training Cycles.
The Institute has established some general criteria for the delivery of books such as being in a disadvantaged economic situation, having returned the books in good condition in case the student has used the Book Bank, made book donations and the order of Request by date of entry.
Those students who are interested in requesting textbooks for the new course must do so before June 28, filling out the application and depositing it in the mailbox of the Book Bank or in the Department of Orientation of the IES Rambla de Nogalte.
In addition, a new deadline will open after the summer holidays, which will be open until 22 September.
The Councilor for Education, Sonia López, said: "With this textbook bank, families will save money and help others who may need it. The objective is to help families cope with the expense of books that each course".
In addition, Sonia López stressed that "this initiative encourages the care of school material by students and contributes to the conservation of the environment, favoring the reuse of used textbooks, thus obtaining a better use of resources materials".
Finally, it should be noted that among the rules of use is to cover the books to keep them in better condition, not to underline the pages and not write in textbooks.
In case of deterioration or loss of a book, it must be replaced by the family or pay its amount.
Otherwise, the refusal will mean the student's resignation to participate in the Book Bank in the following course.
Finally, Sonia López has encouraged citizens to collaborate in this campaign and added that "the fact of making material donations and not economic donations encourages recycling and reuse."
