The students of the flamenco association dressed in their dressing gown, mantilla and torero costumes to perform 17 dances, among which were fandangos, bulerías, alegrías.
The municipality hosted last night the XVIII Flamenco Festival of the Association Riá Pitá, which had more than 350 attendees in the courtyard of the Cultural Center.
The dance association presented its show "La Maestranza", which was attended by about 40 veteran students.
A choreographic, musical and flamenco project about the world of bullfighting whose original idea is Mª Carmen Martínez and Carmen Avilés, the latter being the choreographer.
During the show, audiovisual material related to bullfighting was shown.
The dancers of Riá Pitá performed performances of great value, merging flamenco with the artistic wealth of bullfighting.
Thus, the students of the Flemish association dressed in a dress coat, mantilla and bullfighter costumes to perform 17 dances, among which were fandangos, bulerías, alegrías, zambra, tango and a flamenco jota.
Finally, it should be noted that this activity is part of the 2017 Nogalte Cultural program, designed by the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with different local associations.
