The plan includes accessibility improvements, pavement renovation, installation of underground containers, improvements in the sanitation network and road signaling.
The Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia will invest 140,587.00 euros in improvements of accessibility, pavement renovation and agglomeration in Puerto Lumbreras, among other actions.
These improvements are made through the Cooperative Plan for Works and Municipal Competition Services (POS) of the 2017 annuity.
Specifically, works will be carried out to improve accessibility in San Javier, Fuente Alamo, San Francisco, Peñascos and in the Nogalte rambla passage.
In the same way, the asphalting of these vials will be improved with the renovation of 7,000 square meters of pavement.
Likewise, a storm drain will be installed to evacuate the water and prevent the accumulation of rain on San Javier Street.
In addition, a collector will also be built to improve the sanitation network that will collect the water and transfer it to the treatment plant.
The Mayor has stressed that "works will be carried out for the collation of a collector that will relieve the collapse of the general sewerage network in periods of rain."
On the other hand, underground containers will be installed with the incorporation of mechanical hydraulics in Main Street, San Francisco, Boquera de la Virgen, Siete de Julio and Almería avenue.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, explained that "these autonomy equipment for underground container platforms will be placed in some of the main commercial areas of the town to influence the improvement of the urban image of these commercial hubs."
Finally, the Plan includes horizontal and vertical road signs for San Javier, Fuente Álamo, San Francisco, Peñascos and the Nogalte rambla pass, with the aim of improving road safety for citizens.
Finally, Mª Ángeles Tunisia stressed that "all the actions of the Plan of Works and Services have been agreed with the different business organizations of the municipality, through a process of citizen participation."
