Puerto Lumbreras celebrated last night the traditional ceremony of delivery of the Business Awards, 'Puerto Lumbreras, Municipio Emprendedor', which recognized the work of prominent local entrepreneurs.
The Mayoress, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, and ASEPLU President Juan Carlos Morillas, as well as members of the municipal corporation and representatives of the business fabric of the municipality and the district gathered at the event.
The Mayoress, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, explained that "this business awards competition is designed to count and give the highest possible visibility to the companies that make up the productive fabric in Puerto Lumbreras."
In addition, Tunisia added that "from the City Council we want to recognize the entrepreneurial work of people and companies that are part of ASEPLU and have excelled in their respective areas of work."
In this edition, the Consistorio lumbrerense and the Confederation of Businessmen ASEPLU awarded the distinction "Hospitality" to Bar El Ruedo, and the "Commerce" award went to Miguel Florista.
Also, the "Entrepreneur" award was granted to Carrocerías Reverte, "Nuevas Tecnologías" was for Sergio Carrasco (Graphic Design) and, lastly, the award "To a business life" was carried by Transportes Antonio Pérez Zaragoza.

They have been collaborating for more than 3 years and making the floral decoration for the fashion shows of the Valencian designer Francis Montesinos.
Entrepreneur Award: Reverte Bodies
Company founded in 1999 in the Ermita del Esparragal.
In its beginnings, it was dedicated to the locksmith and diverse works of polyester and structures of ships.
The company entered the bodywork sector and moved to a new facility, in front of the Municipal Cemetery, where they are today.
They repair different types of bodywork of bovine, ovine, porcine and equine cattle.
In 2010 the company specialized in the assembly of cattle cages in aluminum, being currently the only company in the Region of Murcia in the manufacture of semitrailers and aluminum cattle trucks.
In 2012 they expanded their services again with the manufacture of bodies in various materials (aluminum, iron and stainless steel).
Due to the demand for work in manufacturing and repair, the company expands its facilities and has the latest technology in machinery.
Prize "A business life": Transportes Antonio Pérez
At the end of the military service he entered to work as a truck driver.
In 1973, he bought his own and started working on his own, making daily trips with organic manure to Almería.
In 1977 he acquired a second truck, hired a chauffeur and began to transport vegetables as well.
Little by little he was acquiring other trucks and more personal.
In 1994 he began to travel abroad and set up a small company, which includes his three children.
It currently has eight trucks and 11 drivers.
At age 72, after a life for and for his family and work, he enjoys seeing the reward of his sacrifice, which continues through his children.
New Technologies Award: Sergio Carrasco - Graphic Design
Sergio Carrasco is a graphic designer titled by the School of Art of Murcia as Superior Technician in Plastic Arts and Design in Advertising Graphic.
For more than 20 years he has been dedicated to design and the world of creativity and communication. He started with his brother José María in "Novart Creativos" making brochures, posters and logos.
After passing through advertising agencies and design studios in the city of Murcia, where he carried out an important work in the field of graphic design, he decided to set up his own studio in Puerto Lumbreras.
He has designed editorial works, corporate identities, product labels, art catalogs, and has been linked to interior design projects and commercial spaces.
In his work he creates supports for the image, the illustration, the photography and the typography.
