Elena Ruiz García has been crowned as the new Queen of the Children 2017 of Puerto Lumbreras, in an emotional act celebrated in the public park Reina Sofía.
Almost 200 people between parents, friends and family have attended the election and coronation of the Children's Queen of the Holidays.
A total of 14 girls, accompanied by their respective gifts, have paraded through the catwalk to opt for the crown.
Finally, after depositing the name of all the candidates in an urn, the outgoing child queen, María Martínez, extracted the name of the new Infantile Queen, Elena Ruiz, who was accompanied by her brother, Miguel Ángel Ruiz.
In this way, the rest of the girls were named Damas de Honor 2017, among them is Nayara del Rocío Moreno, Alicia Marín, Ainoa Gracia, María Romera, Olga Ruíz, Martina Martínez, Ana Viudez, María Magdalena Svetoslavova, Blanca Isabel Andrés, Paula Viudez, Estela Cabrera, América Moreno, Miriam Pérez.
After the election, the children's musical "Pipi Calzaslargas" was celebrated.
The show surprised the audience with musical themes that brought to the scene the adventures of an independent, imaginative and rebellious girl, Pippi Langstrump, also known as "Pippi Longstocking".
