Ten associations in the municipality have benefited from these grants which are intended to finance activities programs and maintenance costs.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has awarded 19,400 euros to sports associations and neighbors of the municipality, through the different lines of subsidies taken out in public call.
In particular, sports associations have obtained an amount of 17.200 euros and neighborhood associations have received 2,200 euros.
The Councilor for Economy and Finance, Raquel Rodríguez, stressed "the importance of continuing to collaborate with the clubs and associations of the municipality in promoting their activities, as they perform an important work that benefits most of the lumbrerenses" .
In addition, Raquel Rodriguez recalled that "these subsidies must be added the aid granted this year, through agreements, to sports clubs for an amount over 40,000 euros."
The council has stressed that "with these grants we intend to promote associationism and encourage the carrying out of sports and cultural activities."
It should be noted that the beneficiaries of these grants have been all those local associations that submitted to the call, published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia.
Finally, Raquel Rodríguez has announced that "in the coming weeks cultural associations will also receive subsidies for an approximate amount of 3,000 euros."
