The Association of Leisure and Sport with Nature SILYBUM, in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, organized the XVI edition of the Mountain Night Crossing.
Thus, more than 260 people participated this weekend in this competition that took place in long, short, family and career in pairs.
A total of 71 teams from different points in the Region of Murcia and other autonomous communities participated in the competition.
Specifically, 15 teams participated in the long crossing, 21 in the short crossing, 14 teams in the family and 2 couples.
Sports Councilor Juan Rubén Burrueco stressed that "this sporting event is one of the most anticipated of the summer. Every year, the number of participants decides to enjoy a pleasant day of nocturnal trekking along unknown routes."
It should be noted that the participants knew the place of departure hours before the start of the crossing and each team had a map that marked the itinerary to follow.
All the participants had to go through different positions that controlled that the route was being carried out correctly.
The winners of the trip, which took place this year in Gońar, have been "The Magnates of the Mountain" (long crossing), "Let the Force Accompany" (family cruise), "Saltamontes Quantum" (short crossing).
