The objective is to facilitate the integration in the ordinary labor market of people with intellectual disabilities, developing an exhaustive process of intermediation.
The project is aimed at people with intellectual disabilities with a minimum value of 33%, in the age range of 16 to 65 years.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, and the president of the Down Syndrome Foundation of the Region of Murcia (Fundown), Diego González, and the manager of Fundown, Pedro Martínez, presented this morning the new socio-labor inclusion project "Todos Ganan", which will be held in the town of Lumbrerense.
Specifically, the objective of this project is to facilitate the integration into the ordinary labor market of people with intellectual disabilities, developing an exhaustive process of intermediation, job counseling and individualized attention.
The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras has stressed that "with this new initiative we aim to improve the employment opportunities of people with disabilities, offer them a higher level of autonomy and independent living, obtaining employment is the first step to achieve it."
Through this new service, individualized itineraries will be carried out with people with intellectual disabilities, in which work orientation, labor intermediation, job training, training for active job search and training in transversal skills (Social skills, basic training, new technologies, personal autonomy) and professionals.
Representatives of Fundown affirm that "the star project in the Foundation is supported employment, which consists of realizing a comprehensive itinerary of access to ordinary employment for people with intellectual disabilities, adapting to their needs and motivations of each participant."
The "Todos Ganan" project implements certain strategies that facilitate hiring in the company, such as practice agreements, prior to hiring, that promote the awareness of the entrepreneur, minimizing their uncertainty.
It should be noted that post-insertion follow-up will be carried out, modulating the support provided by the job coach throughout the insertion process to ensure the maintenance of the job by the person with intellectual disability.

It should be mentioned that the initiative is framed in the "More Employment" program of La Caixa and financed by the European Social Fund.
The Down Syndrome Foundation of the Region of Murcia (FUNDOWN), is a non-profit organization created in 1994. It is one of the most relevant entities at regional and national level in terms of Attention and Promotion of Personal Autonomy of People with Intellectual Disability.
As the name implies, they work with people with Down Syndrome but also with people with Intellectual Disability.
