The Sanitation and Purification Entity of the Region of Murcia (ESAMUR), which is dependent on the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, has planned the installation of a photovoltaic plate at the Wastewater Treatment Plant (EDAR) in the village of Lumbrerense Of El Esparragal.
The objective of this action, which exceeds 200,000 euros, is to reduce electricity consumption in the plant managed by ESAMUR, while reducing the carbon footprint.
ESAMUR has requested a subsidy for the installation of this plaque in the singular projects to local entities that favor the transition to a low carbon economy in the framework of the sustainable growth program FEDER 2017/2020.
The project focuses on a feasibility study that ESAMUR has carried out for the construction of a photovoltaic installation of small power in the purification facilities of El Esparragal.
The total amount can be subsidized up to a maximum of 80 percent of the amount requested. Once the application has been approved, ESAMUR will carry out the call to establish the procedure for contracting the projects and executing them.
Subsequently will be carried out the tender of the works and execution.
