The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, and the president of the Lumbreras Sports Club, Salvador Manzanares, signed a collaboration agreement for the promotion of football in the city.
The Mayor said that "this is a very positive agreement for the club and for lumbrerenses football fans. Once again, we are fully involved, both institutionally and economically, in the new season of CD Lumbreras."
With this agreement, the Club Deportivo Lumbreras is committed to launch a new program of sports and training activities, aimed at the promotion of football.
In this sense, the City Council grants 40,000 euros to the Club for the management of the Municipal Football Field, participation in federated competitions and the organization of annual football championships, in the categories that have a place in the Sports School that manages the Club.
The CD Lumbreras, which has almost 200 students and 8 teams, will continue to carry out activities related to football in the municipality.
In addition, the agreement will serve to manage the infrastructures of the Football Field and promote new training actions at the local level.
