More than 250 people have participated in the activities organized to celebrate World Breast Cancer Day in Puerto Lumbreras.
From 10:00 a.m., a concentration was held yesterday in the Plaza de la Constitución and a reading of the Manifesto by the Mayor.
In addition, the concentration was enlivened with music and the assistants collaborated with the association buying t-shirts, ties and spectacles solidarity in a stand installed in the square.
Then a solidarity march began which was joined by numerous residents of the municipality from the Plaza de la Constitución to the Virgen del Rosario Church, where a mass was held in honor of people who suffer or have suffered this disease.
It is noteworthy that a pink ribbon has been installed on the facade of the City Hall and the main sources of the town have been bathed in pink as a symbol of support for people suffering from breast cancer.
The activities have been organized by the Puerto Lumbreras local board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) and the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras.
