"6 kilometers of rural roads will be conditioned with the repair of the Vera, Abades and Los Perez roads, which are being contracted by the regional government."
The Autonomous Community will carry out works of improvement and conditioning in several rural roads belonging to the municipal term of Puerto Lumbreras.
In particular, the roads that will be improved soon are Los Abades, Vera and Los Perez.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras requested the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries the conditioning of these roads last year in the Municipal Plenary.
It should be noted that, recently, the Regional Government has implemented improvement actions on the Higueral Alto and Los Guevaras roads.
Restoration work on the Los Guevaras road, with a length of 1,354m and an average width of five meters, makes it possible to connect farms, livestock, isolated dwellings and various rural roads.
The total amount was 38,988.43 euros.
The second road in which works have been carried out is the Higueral Alto, with a length of 1,647 meters and an average width of five meters.
It connects farms, cattle ranches, isolated houses and various rural roads with the regional road RM-D16.
The budget for this road was 19,762.27 euros.
Both roads, in which work has been carried out to reinforce and improve the firm, improving drainage and road safety, have been framed in the first call that the Ministry took out in April 2016.
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, said that "this year more than 3 kilometers of rural roads have been reconditioned to improve the mobility of vehicles in this area. In the coming months 6 kilometers of rural roads will be conditioned approximately the repair of the Vera, Abades and Perez roads, which are being contracted by the regional government. "
In addition, Tunisia has added that "next year the Autonomous Community will carry out improvement actions on the road from the Cemetery to the ravine of Nogalte, and is already being processed the request for repair of more than 8 kilometers on the road of the Cañada de Alba ".
In recent years, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras and the Autonomous Community have worked together in arranging more than 100 kilometers of roads.
Thus, important works of asphalting, signaling, cleaning of accounts, evacuation of rainfall and public lighting have been carried out, among others.
Finally, Tunisia thanked the regional government "to take into account the needs of lumbrerenses and allow rural areas to have the best infrastructure for adequate access to farms."
