"We have collected a petition from the neighbors and we have put the means to deal with the solution," says orange spokesman Jose Ignacio Reverte
Citizens have registered this morning the request to incorporate in the debate of the next plenary the immediate and urgent settlement of the Camino de Vera.
The local coordinator, José Ignacio Reverte, has accompanied the formal petition of the 150 signatures required by the municipal regulation of Citizen Participation, so he hopes that "this problem that concerns our neighbors can be debated and we hope that settled in the Plenary" .
In just three hours, and through a table in the weekly market of El Esparragal, Citizens picked up on Sunday the rubrics necessary to raise the proposal.
"The response of the neighbors has been magnificent and reflects the importance and relevance of the problem posed by the poor state of Camino de Vera.
The sad thing is that none of the municipal groups present in our Corporation has responded to this request and has had to be Citizens who takes the initiative, "Reverte said.
The municipal regulation of Citizen Participation provides in its article 21 the possibility of incorporating a proposal to be discussed in plenary - the next will take place on November 28 - and to support this proposal Ciudadanos Puerto Lumbreras organized the collection of signatures.
Reverte believes that the promise of the settlement made by the City "is insufficient, and it is necessary to address the settlement of the road as soon as possible."
"The deterioration suffered by the Camino de Vera can even jeopardize the safety of vehicles and pedestrians, and we consider it urgent that they be repaired immediately before we have to regret an accident," added Reverte, who specifies that rehabilitation should be undertaken from the crossing of the Four Paths to the limit with the municipal term of Lorca.
