The Consistory grants a grant of 4,000 euros to the Flemish association with the aim of promoting the realization of cultural activities and initiatives.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras and the Riá Pitá dance association have formalized a collaboration agreement to carry out cultural activities in the municipality.
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez, stressed that "with the signing of this agreement we want to promote the activity of the association for the benefit of all citizens, by organizing musical and dance performances in the municipality."
In this way, the Consistory grants a grant of 4,000 euros to the Flemish association with the aim of promoting the realization of activities and initiatives such as Children's Festivals or the Annual Flamenco Festival, which has become one of the "main courses" of the Summer program Cutural Nogalte.

Mª Ángeles Tunisia recalled that "Ría Pita is one of the groups that most promotes our values ​​and our cultural traditions, actively collaborates in the different parties that take place in our municipality and in our neighborhoods and districts throughout the year, and organizes various dance festivals and works such as Bodas de Sangre, El Quijote, Malena, once upon a time my life or more recently La Maestranza ".
Finally, it should be noted that Mª Carmen Martínez was the founder of the Ría Pitá Association.
Since its inception it has been dedicated to teaching Lumbrerenses of all ages different styles of dance: flamenco, classical, contemporary and modern, even reaching in recent years to take preparatory courses to join the conservatory.
