The Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia (SEF) has subsidized a socio-health care course for dependents at home in Puerto Lumbreras.
Thus, a fortnight of unemployed people are benefiting from this training through the alternation of theoretical and practical training.
The Councilor for Employment and Commerce, Angela Morillas, explained that "the main objective of this program is to meet and ensure the welfare of dependents at home, from the social and health field, since it is an emerging sector, generator of employment with high expectation of contracting in the short and medium term ".
Morillas stressed that "our priority is to continue providing the necessary conditions for the creation of employment.In the last month, the unemployment rate fell again and fell by 5.70%, with the local unemployment rate in 8, 03%, well below the regional and national average ".
The duration of this training action, which leads to obtaining the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, is 480 theoretical-practical hours and 120 hours of professional practices, which are being carried out in the Senior Center "Agustín Tárraga Ortega" of Puerto Lumbreras .
During the practical training, the students help, in the social healthcare field, people with special physical, psychological and social health needs, applying the most appropriate strategies and procedures to maintain and improve their personal autonomy and their relationships with the environment.
The training program is taught from Monday to Friday, with a duration of five hours a day, offering participants the opportunity to acquire sufficient knowledge to enter the labor market within this sector.
It should be noted that the subsidy granted by the regional government amounts to 37,440 euros.
